Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This page explains what information Tattoo Pain Scale (tattoopainscale.com) collects, why we collect it, and how to ask about data you have given us.

1. What we collect

Analytics data

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. It may collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • General geographic location (country/region — not precise location)
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Referring website or search query

Google Analytics uses a browser identifier to distinguish visits and produces reports about site use. We look at those reports to understand which pages and tools are useful. We do not use them to identify visitors by name.

Google processes Analytics data under Google’s Privacy Policy. You can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to opt out of Analytics tracking.

Free PDF downloads

When you request a free PDF, we collect the name and email address you enter, along with the page URL and site name. We save this as a record of the download request in Supabase. The PDF downloads immediately in your browser.

We do not email the PDF, subscribe you to a newsletter, or send promotional messages because you downloaded it. We do not sell or rent your name or email address.

Supabase stores the download request on our behalf. You can contact us to request access to or deletion of your information.

Contact form submissions

If you use our contact form, you submit your name, email address, subject and message. Web3Forms delivers the message to us; we may also save a copy in Supabase. We use the information to respond to your inquiry.

2. Cookies

Google Analytics may set first-party cookies to distinguish visits and sessions.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect the functionality of the calculators.

Some pages contain affiliate links to products on third-party retailers (e.g., Amazon). Clicking these links may set cookies on those retailers’ sites, which they use to track purchases for commission purposes. We do not receive any personal data from these retailers — only aggregate commission information.

4. Pain chart data

The pain chart on this Site runs entirely in your browser. The placements you tap and anything you select are not transmitted to our servers. We do not store, log, or process what you do with the chart.

5. Third-party services

We use third-party services for hosting, Google Analytics, delivery of contact messages through Web3Forms, and storage of PDF requests and some contact messages through Supabase. These services process information needed to provide those functions under their own privacy policies.

6. Children’s privacy

This Site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Data retention

Analytics data is retained per the terms of the analytics provider. We keep PDF download records only while needed for that purpose and delete them on request. Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data — including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
